From Our Senior Pastor.

As I write this article, I'm sitting in my mom's hospital room consulting with the doctor regarding her heart attack. Then, after getting her home this afternoon I will head down to Salem and help assist my dad and step-mother, who is living her last days on this side of Heaven, having fought a brave, 11-year battle with cancer. In the midst of all this I am reminded of how life can be so fragile and brief. It also reminds me about the importance of investing our priorities in the things that are everlasting. Of all the teaching I have done and how it affects people's lives, it's interesting to see the choices people make as to what is important in their spiritual lives. I ask you the question, are you investing in God's eternal plan? Have you forgotten that you will take nothing with you, except what you have sent on ahead of you by serving your Lord?

28 on the 28th
Attention All Mayhew Church Members and Regular Attendees:

March 28, 2010 is our first "Bring A Friend" day. We are encouraging each and every one of you to invite at least one friend to church services on 3/28. Our goal is to meet or beat 28 guests on 3/28. We can do it with your help!! Invite friends, neighbors, co-workers, and family members. Encourage your kids to invite their school friends. Refreshments will be served following service. We will have some special treats for those who have guests come on this special day. Also, as a bonus incentive, Pastor Mike has agreed to wear his pirate costume to your child’s or grandchild’s next birthday party if you are the person who brings the most guests!!! So, come on everyone, invite, invite INVITE!!

College & Career Sponsored Luncheon
The entire church is invited to this luncheon and to come hear author and speaker, Tom Cowely share with us about his book, Remember the Heart of The Bible. The luncheon will be on Sunday, March 28th

Women’s Retreat Registration
This years American Baptist Women’s Conference will be held June 4-6 at the Mission Springs Camp and Conference Center in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Early registration has started this month. If you take advantage of this early registration you will be paying a lower fee to attend this conference. For more info you can visit their website at abwm-west.org

JEMS (Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society)- Will be having it’s annual summer conference at Mt. Hermon the week of June 27th. Registration forms are available in the church office, please see Paulene or Heidi if you are interested in picking one up.
